FAQs

Does my child need any special equipment? We provide all equipment needed! Your child should wear comfortable, activity-appropriate clothing. Cleats and shin guards are not necessary.

The First Day

Help Your Child Have an Easy Transition

The first day of a new activity can bring a lot of emotions for young players. Some may be really excited, while others may feel shy and nervous. If your child is a little shy the first day, don't worry; give them the time and space they need to adjust. They will most likely warm up by the second or third class.

Your Role

When you are at home, play the games and practice the skills that your child played in class. It’s a great way to reinforce new skills while having fun and interacting with your child. Ask your child to share the words (character & soccer) of the day.

We will be sending you a session summary each week to review what we went over in class. Soccer Shots encourages the development of active lifestyle habits. Remind them of the importance of eating healthy and exercising!

SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S GROWTH

It is our objective to establish a safe and positive environment for your child to develop soccer skills, learn positive character traits and have fun! We believe this works best when children trust and enjoy being with their Soccer Shots coach. Please cheer for all children, clap for their achievements and be excited for them to learn how to respond positively to both successes and challenges!

Mini Sessions (ages 2-3) - One parent or guardian is expected to join their child on the field for the session. We believe children at this age learn especially well with you closely encouraging and giving a helping hand.

Classic Sessions (ages 3-5) - Parents or guardians are not required to be on the field; however, know that for the first week or two you are welcome to come onto the field to encourage or help your child as they adjust to the session.

Premier Sessions (ages 5-8) - Parents or guardians are not required to be on the field, so we encourage you to sit back and enjoy watching your child have fun on the field!

Weather Decisions

We do NOT play in Thunder/Lightening

We DO play in LIGHT rain and/or colder weather. If temperature goes below freezing or above 100 degrees, we do not play. When needing to cancel, we always try to make up classes, up to 2 makeup classes.

If class is canceled, you WILL receive an email and we will also post on Facebook and Instagram.

We urge you to not wait until the end of the season to bring up concerns, as it is too late to make real-time corrections once the season has ended.

Enrollment Fee

A non-refundable $30 enrollment fee will be charged if it is your first time enrolling for Soccer Shots (and will be charged once per year after that). Youth jerseys are mailed out at the same time you pay your enrollment fee, regardless of the number of seasons you sign your child up for within that year. The enrollment fee is only paid once per year.

If you have not been prompted to pay your enrollment fee, you also will not be receiving a jersey for this season. If you need a new jersey, please Click Here to order one

The enrollment fee allows us to cover administrative costs such as facility fees, season certificates and prizes, coach background checks and training and software development that will enhance your Soccer Shots experience.

Soccer Shots Jerseys

If you enroll your child in Soccer Shots to participate in anywhere from one to multiple seasons of Soccer Shots throughout a year, your child will receive a youth jersey.

Youth jerseys are mailed once a year when paying the enrollment fee, regardless of the number of seasons you sign your child up for within that year. The enrollment fee is only paid once per year.

Jerseys are distributed via mail and addressed to the child. You will receive tracking information once the jersey has shipped to your address. Please understand that if you enroll within two weeks of the season start date, your child is not guaranteed to receive their jersey before the first session. Should you have any questions about your child’s youth jersey shipment, or if you would like to exchange sizes, please contact shipping@soccershots.com. Please note, some Soccer Shots programs do not include jerseys, such as birthday parties, demos, free play days, and school-paid sessions.
